Vocations Prayer Initiative in Sligo

The prayer initiative for vocations to the Dominicans in Ireland is continuing apace. This weekend the vocations director had an opportunity to introduce and launch the campaign in the Dominican church at Holy Corss friary in Sligo town (pictured above). The Dominican friars have a continuous presence in the north west town for over 750 years - a town that has produced many vocations for the Order over the years.

In launching the prayer initiative in Sligo this weekend, the icon of Saint Dominic accompanying the appeal was again highlighted as a focus for people to join with the Dominicans in the region to pray for vocations to the friars, sisters, nuns and Dominican laity.
